2010 Past ToursThe tour season is upon us and we've already enjoyed some wonderful trips:

July 8-12:  This fabulous tour started with a beautiful drive to Manitou and a ride on the cog railroad to the top of Pikes Peak.  Rains plagued us that afternoon, but everyone made it safely to Canon City where we had a wonderful dinner at Merlinos.  The next day some some amazing sights, both in terms of the natural scenery and the extraordinary Bishop’s Castle.  The third day we rode the train to Pine, and enjoyed the Michael Martin Murphy concert.  The weather, the setting and the music were all very nice.  We returned to Manitou staying at the lovely Cliff House for our final dinner.  If you did not join us, you missed a fine time.

June 11, 12 & 13:  Joint tour with the ACD club.  Friday evening will begin with a tour of a private vintage radio collection.  Saturday will be a busy day, touring a vintage bicycle collection housed in a negative carbon-footprint home, lunch the historic Chautauqua Dining Hall followed by a tour of the 1920's cabins at Chautauqua and then a visit to the American Shelby collection.  Sunday, we'll see the Dougherty collection.

May 16th:  Progressive Dinner:  We enjoyed three stops during the progressive brunch:  Frank and Carolyn Keller's home.  Red Rocks Amphitheater, visitor center and Ship Rock Grill for guided tourf the Red Rocks facility.  Sunday buffet brunch at the Ship Rock Grill. Lonnie and Betsy Fallin's home for dessert.

April 17th:  We began at the Lakewood Museum.  Toured 20th Century buildings, including the former Spring White Laundry building which later housed a hair salon and a retail store, a very small "Valentine" diner, with stools for only 8 customers, a Victorian house and a 30's farm house.  A drive through Clear Creek Canyon and then I-70 brought us to the lovely Hamill house in Georgetown.  Lunch at the Happy Cooker was followed by a tour of the Hotel de Paris.  Watch this page for pictures of this event
